Reve D Absolute 1 Drift Brushless Motor – 10.5T vs 13.5T
The Reve D Absolute is a drift-only competition brushless motor developed by the same team that helped Jun Yoshinami claim the world championship. Built specifically for the demands of modern RC drift, it delivers sharp, torqueful rotation across a wide RPM range – from low-speed crawl to full-send high rotation.
Whether you're sliding on P-tile, asphalt, or carpet, the Absolute 1 has you covered. The boldly hollowed-out aluminium motor case provides excellent heat dissipation, keeping heat sag in check during long sessions. Add in edge chamfering and laser engraving, and this motor looks as good as it performs.
10.5T vs 13.5T – What's the Difference?
10.5T – More Power, Higher RPM
- KV Value: 3,567 KV
- Max RPM: 29,963 RPM
- Best for: Experienced drivers, high-grip surfaces, aggressive driving styles
- Character: Snappy, responsive, high top-end speed
The 10.5T is the weapon of choice for drivers who want maximum power and response. It rewards precise throttle control and suits those who are comfortable managing a more aggressive power band. Ideal for competition use on higher-grip surfaces like asphalt or carpet.
13.5T – Smoother, More Controllable
- KV Value: 2,653 KV
- Max RPM: 22,285 RPM
- Best for: Intermediate to advanced drivers, low-grip surfaces, technical tracks
- Character: Smooth, linear, easier to modulate
The 13.5T offers a more forgiving power delivery, making it a great choice for slippery P-tile surfaces or drivers who prefer a smoother, more predictable throttle response. It's also a solid option if you're stepping up from a stock motor for the first time.

All colours are available in both 10.5T and 13.5T winds. Mix and match to suit your style.
Suggested Settings
These are general starting points – always fine-tune to your ESC, surface, and driving style.
ESC Settings (General Guidance)
- Timing: 15–20° (10.5T) / 10–15° (13.5T) – higher timing increases RPM and heat
- Boost: Start low (0–5°) and increase gradually to suit your track
- Turbo: Use sparingly for drift – too much can cause unpredictable power spikes
- PWM Frequency: 8–16 kHz recommended for smooth motor response
- Brake Strength: 20–40% – adjust to taste for entry and deceleration feel
- Drag Brake: 5–15% – helps with throttle-off transitions during drift
Surface-Specific Tips
- P-Tile / Low Grip: 13.5T preferred – reduce boost, smooth throttle curve
- Asphalt / High Grip: 10.5T shines here – can run more timing and boost
- Carpet: Either wind works – 13.5T for control, 10.5T for speed
Gearing
- Start with a conservative gear ratio and adjust based on motor temperature
- Aim to keep motor temp under 60°C during a run
- If running hot, go taller (higher tooth count pinion) or reduce timing
Which Should You Choose?
If you're after raw power and you've got the throttle control to match – go 10.5T. If you want a smoother, more forgiving ride that still delivers serious performance – the 13.5T is your motor.
