Rc drift monkeys was first started in 2019 by the man who holds it all together, Jason Lake, for him and his son logan to have somewhere local to drift. 

After a few months of drifting on pub carpet, we got some drift carpet and expanded the track size to 9m x 6m.

The club was never set up to be a high-end drift club it was for 1 man to give his son somewhere to go. 

Drift Monkeys is a grassroots club whose main goal is to get new people into the hobby and just have fun. 

We run once a month from a hall in southend on sea, and we have a great bunch of regulars who are more like family now. 

We are just in the process of setting up a new hard surface track for 2025, so we will be able to run either or maybe both.
